A man from London beheads a man from the United States and we continue to identify the evil of violence as within Islam. The challenge for humanity is to cease such dissembling and join in common cause to understand our propensity for aggression. We need to stop the 'Christian' lie that we can bring salvation to the world, egged on by our super hero fantasies and act with humility to understand that the enemy to peace lies within us all. Only by learning the infinitely fragile approach of understanding others, walking in their shoes and aspiring to build an equitable world will we overcome the looming catastrophe.
